Every good Mexican knows that 75% of a good taco is the salsa. And Cocina's red salsa is everything. It also helps that the other 25% is also on point. We love the chorizo, al pastor, and champiñones (mushrooms) in the tacos, sopes, and tortas. Their menudo and pozole is also delicious. And their tamales. You really can't go wrong.

I also love that this is a values driven establishment. We don't live in a vacuum and it's important to me that I support businesses that support good things. Rosalyn is a woman with a good heart. I often see her supporting and lifting up other local businesses as well as calling out shitty policies that impact our community. Thank you!

And did I mention the salsa?

Take out place with eclectic miniature figurine decor.  They only have a few seats inside so be prepared to take out. Their masa is very soft and flavorful the rumor is that the masa is imported and different than anything you get in the states. Please try the lingua. I didn't grow up eating it but love this place's lingua since it tastes like slow roasted soft tender morsels of savory goodness. Very friendly staff and huge menu so I need to go back again. Tacos were my favorite, then quesadillas. The torta was delicious although maybe I'd like the bread softer.

Client service is so amazing and they helped us patiently through our choices.

Another great taco place!!! The tacos are on the small side, but nonetheless are still bursting of flavor. I enjoy that the taco meat as well as simple toppings pull together the experience at Cocina.

I love sitting outside and I recommend if the weather is lovely. The horchata is sweet but a fun treat on a hot day!

Had the best experience at Cocina luchadoras!! The ambience is so cute and quaint-- super tiny restaurant with maybe 10 bar stools indoors and 3 outdoor tables. The decoration inside is amazing, a perfect mix of female empowerment (the restaurant is entirely female-run!!) and Baltimore pride!

I shared the la chingona torta, which is what was the most popular out of the tortas, and WOOOWW. it was truly so so good! A perfect mix of savory pork and sweet pineapple, with the addition of grilled vegetables and topped off with the delicious red and green sauces that are given-- it was perfection.

I also ordered a carnitas taco, which was great but very simple (honestly how I like my tacos though). I would get the taco again, but there are so many things on the menu that I want to try first before repeating!! The tamales and pork soup are next on my list.

Maybe I'm use to a different type of Mexican food because it's cooked daily in my house (I'm not Mexican) so it's hard to distinguish everyday awesome food versus street food.
I just had a chicken torta. It was pretty bland had to throw some pepper and hot sauce to give it more taste. It's a little corner spot that gets a lot of foot traffic so it's good for them. I just wish they put a little more love to the place to give it that Mexican soul
